2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is named best SUV at Texas Truck Rodeo

Four the seventh year in a row the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk was named top Mid-size SUV by the Texas Automotive Writers Association at the Texas Truck Rodeo where 64 vehicles were tested for two days both on the road and off the road.

All Jeep Grand Cherokee engines feature the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition to enhancing fuel economy, the durable eight-speed transmission delivers quick acceleration for a luxurious ride. The Trailhawk's interior is black with Ruby Red accents so it looks good too.

The Texas Truck Rodeo is an annual event that puts the top trucks and SUVs through a grueling 16-hour test over on- and off-road conditions by 75 Texas Auto Writer's Association members casting votes.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee was not the only from the Ram, Jeep and Dodge brands that earned high marks. The RAM Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Southfork and 2500 Limited Tungsten trucks were tops in their class, the Jeep Renegade, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon and the Dodge Durango also took home top awards.

While the Jeep Grand Cherokee is the top SUV in Texas, it performs just as well on Georgia roads and trails. Come see one at University Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
