Halloween Driving Tips: Stay Safe This Holiday

In the midst of all the Halloween fun and celebration, we want to remind drivers to be extra cautious. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration warns that pedestrians are at a high risk for injuries or fatalities on Halloween.

Here are some great Halloween driving tips to keep in mind:

  • Keep your headlights on whether it is dark outside yet or not. A vehicle with its lights on is more visible to pedestrians.
  • Actively scan both sides of the street and keep an eye out for children.
  • Drive at least five MPH slower than normal, and be prepared to stop suddenly.
  • Stay sober and minimize all distractions while you are behind the wheel.
  • Be extra careful when pulling in and out of driveways and alleys.
